How to Find Your Ring Size at Home (Without Going to a Jeweler)Getting your ring size right matters. A ring that's too tight is uncomfortable. A ring that's too loose is a disaster waiting to happen. And when you're ordering a handcrafted ring that takes weeks to make, you want to get it right the first time.
The good news: you don't need to visit a jeweler to find your size. Here's how to do it at home.
This is the most accurate DIY method.
Circumference to Ring Size Chart
| Circumference (mm) | US Ring Size |
|---|---|
| 47 | 4 |
| 49 | 5 |
| 51 | 6 |
| 54 | 7 |
| 57 | 8 |
| 59 | 9 |
| 62 | 10 |
If you already have a ring that fits the finger you're measuring, this is even easier.
| Inner Diameter (mm) | US Ring Size |
|---|---|
| 15.3 | 4 |
| 15.7 | 5 |
| 16.5 | 6 |
| 17.3 | 7 |
| 18.2 | 8 |
| 18.9 | 9 |
| 19.8 | 10 |
Time of day matters. Fingers are slightly larger in the evening and in warm weather. Measure at the end of the day for the most accurate fit.
Knuckle size matters too. If your knuckle is significantly larger than the base of your finger, size up and consider a ring with a comfort fit band.
Wide bands fit tighter. If you're ordering a wide band (6mm or more), go up half a size from your usual measurement. Our Roman Numeral rings, for example, are wider bands — we recommend sizing up half a size.
At Jamie Park Jewelry, all of our rings are made to order. If you're unsure of your size, reach out before ordering — we can send a complimentary ring sizer to your home.
We also offer one complimentary resize within six months of purchase, so if your ring doesn't fit perfectly, we'll make it right.
